Newark Eagles Hand-Painted T-Shirt
Want the old school real deal? This is it! Vintage tees created one at a time, by hand! Each one decorated by hand (like in the old days), and each one an original. Each features a naturally muted, naturally distressed image that harkens back to the early days of professional sports.
In 1946 the Newark Eagles took down the powerful Kansas City Monarchs four games to three in the Negro League World Series. With three future Hall of Famers (Leon Day, Lary Doby and Monte Irvin) in the lineup and the integration of professional baseball just around the corner, the Eagles roster was a coveted cache of talent to the many major league scouts in the stands throughout the series.
The waterbased inks and dyes used in producing the shirt's unique design are applied to the fabric with a hand brushing technique, and the design is washfast. Because they are hand-painted, each shirt will be a little different than all the others.
The shirt is made of preshrunk 100% soft, ringspun cotton fabric. The shirt is imported, but decorated right here in the USA.
